I really enjoy subscribing to email newsletters from different essential oil companies because I like seeing all the creative ways aromatherapists use oils in their daily lives. One newsletter that I’ve grown rather fond of receiving is from barefut essential oils because they send some awesome DIY recipes that aren’t featured on their blog.
This DIY blend & room spray by barefut totally caught my attention and I just had to share it with you all! If you LOVE those spicy scents of autumn (like I do!), you’ll LOVE this amazing DIY Autumn Spice Blend from barefut essential oils.
- If you wish, you can upcycle a 15 ml amber essential oil bottle for this blend. Make sure to have a new orifice reducer and lid for easy pour and storage. For instructions on how to upcycle your used essential oil bottles, check out my Upcycled Mini Reed Diffuser post.
- Add the listed essential oils to the 15 ml amber bottle and mix. Place the new orifice reducer and tighten with the new lid. You can start enjoying this blend immediately by adding 3-5 drops to your diffuser.
TO MAKE THE ROOM SPRAY:
- Add 70-80 drops of the blend to a 4 oz spray bottle. Add 2 oz of witch hazel (I have used rubbing alcohol if I don’t have witch hazel on hand – just be careful not to spray anything that the rubbing alcohol could damage). Let the mixture meld together for 30 seconds to a minute.
- Fill the rest of the spray bottle with water and shake before each use. Because this is a water based spray, I recommend making a new batch weekly.
